We are a farm holidays situated in an area of remarkable landscape interest and near to some artistic small towns, 485 metres above sea level.
The farm supplies olive oil, wine, fruit in season, typical sausages and hams. There's a truffle-ground which provides the annexed restaurant with the black superior truffle. In this restaurant you will find the genuine dishes of the Marche's tradition.
Six rooms and three mini flats are available; they are distribuited in three buildings each one close to other.
Every room have a double bed (or two beds), a bathroom and rural styled furniture. The mini flats have similar characteristics, with a cooking area in addition.
Here you can taste the typical Marches's cuisine of Mrs Marisa Piccinini: home made pasta, to say noodles, gnocchi, calcioni (a sort of ravioli with cottage cheese) all seasoned with different sauces: with duck or mushrooms or vegetables in season (asparaguses, nuts, etc.) or black superior truffle.
The roast meat (pigeon, chicken, stuffed rabbit, lamb) is cooked in a wood burning oven. Other meat dishes are marinated wild boar or jugged goose. The bread, every time possible, is baked in the wood burning oven.
The home made sweets are "ciambelloni", jam tarts, "cavallucci" (stuffed with jam, nuts, "sapa", wich is a kind of cooked concentrated wine) between the dry ones and cream on sponge cake, "tiramisù", cooked cream, between the fresh ones.
WHERE WE ARE
We are in the municipality of Cingoli, "frazione" Moscosi, in the province of Macerata, Italy, high on the lake of Cingoli, named lake of Castreccioni as well.
To reach us, starting from the exit "Ancona Nord" of the motorway A14, take the clearway towards Jesi-Roma and then the exit to Cingoli, after 18 kilometres. After other 13 kilometres (to avoid climbing to Cingoli and then going down) look carefully, on the right, at the road sign showing "La Corte sul lago". Go ahead till the dam of the Castreccioni lake; proceed again, turning left, after the lake, towards Moscosi.
