The relais is surrounded by the typical scenery of the Florentine hills, with cypresses and cane-apple trees, broom bushes and pine trees, amongst the scents of lavender, rosemary, time and catmint. Almond and peach blossoms and the intense geranium colours, according to the season, complete the harmony of the landscape.
In a quiet and reserved location, a lovely pool with a large solarium, presenting deck chairs and sunning beds, is at guests’ disposal from May to October, assuring a relaxing and refreshing break from work or from touring amongst the beauties of the Tuscan land.
The relais and its parking lot are both fenced in. Access is permitted only through the automatic gate with a screen intercom, as privacy and safety are two prerogatives of our relais.
Breakfast is served gracefully and professionally in the large gazebo during the summer months. It may be a traditional continental breakfast with local jams, croissants, or home-made pies, or it may be American style, with scrambled eggs for all tastes, cheese and bacon, served in refined Florentine china dishes and silverware, making it feel like a Sunday morning family breakfast.
As a matter of fact, the relais, as it is inside a garden of a private home, has that home feeling. Its cosy, comfortable and exclusive atmosphere makes our guests feel at ease just like in their own home.
ROOMS
The relais presents six spacious very finely furnished double rooms, within a refined and comfortable environment, making your stay pleasant and relaxing. Each room is different from the others, both in its shape, its furniture and in its tapestry. Antique furniture, 19th century prints and a small ornament collection complete the refined atmosphere.
The air-conditioned, microclimatic and soundproofed rooms are supplied with satellite tv, direct telephone line and plugs for Internet connections. The built-in closets, being very large and very well equipped. The bathrooms have large mirrors and double built-in Carrara marble washbasins. The toilet is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a door and so is the shower. The precious “cabreuva vermelha” parquet floor gives the atmosphere a warm and welcoming touch.
Inside the rooms you will find courtesy hot drink kettles, a mini-bar, and a wine and champagne selection that you may enjoy while in your room, or relaxing in the gazebo.
The relais is destinated to non smoking persons, thus the direction begs the clients to respect this rule. Besides, pets are not accepted.
HOW TO REACH US
For those coming by car from Autostrada del Sole (Highway A1), exit at Firenze Certosa. Circle the square following directions to Firenze Centro. At 1,5 km distance approximately you will see on your right a wooded square named Piazza Acciaioli in the Galluzzo district; at the light go straight down following Via Senese and after 500 meters turn left (on the street corner you will see a big tabernacle) in Via delle Bagnese. The second street on the right is Via di San Quirichino: before the first turn you will find the gate of the Relais Marignolle in front of you.
For those coming from the city centre, follow the driveways surrounding the historical centre to Porta Romana; drive through Via Senese and after 2 km approximately you will find the tabernacle on the corner of Via delle Bagnese, turn right and follow the instructions suggested above.
