Florence

Florence (Firenze) is in Tuscany (Toscana) and is rightly considered one of the most important Renaissance art and architectural centres in the world. However this does come at a price as many of the most popular sights - the Baptistry and the Duomo - are usually full of tourists.Florence is the location of lovely palaces and gardens and some of those are less crowded. It is the perfect centre for visiting the ‘Chianti’ part of Tuscany.
